# 97 TULAD NG DATI
Finally.
I had the chance to catch Tulad ng Dati,The Dawn’s indie movie in Channel 5. The tracks for this movie were the best in OPM (I just learned that the song Kahit Ika’y Panaginip Lang was a Ryan Cayabyab creation).
The Dawn belongs to my list of top bands. Their music has more sense than the ones we’re listening today. One track that made me create this entry was this one:
PAGKA’T KASAMA MO AKO. This goes out to all of you.
The people behind McCann and SMB are more than geniuses for putting this song in our collective memory. It is a staple to sing this with your near and dear friends.
The guitar rift adds impact to the song and the group’s fashion sense is… sensible. They’re in the 80s and 90s cusp.
Still, it’s the music that counts. Tulad ng dati.
# 96 ROLL BOUNCE SWEETNESS
I was channel surfing the other day and saw the roller dance-off from Roll Bounce. The disco song is priceless and goes well with Sweetness doing his thang!
IMAGINE GARY V. IN SKATES. Getting off to the music.
I did a little research and found out that Roxy, the guys who performed “Get Off”, were no bruthas but Latinos! It’s Latino disco, baby
SEE ROXY ON TV. Getting off onstage.
On other news, we spent a night drinking jengga juice with my HS barkada. With my cowboy hat for the poker game that I won… NOT.
ANONG NAGPAPA-GUAPO SA ISANG TAO? Eh, di baril!

Sweeney Todd
I was completely clueless when I entered the cinema earlier. For some weird reason I haven’t seen the trailer, didn’t know it was a musical, didn’t even know it was based on a broadway play. But when the credits rolled at the end. I realized that I have just got awesomed on my face!! I love it to death!

No more drama
I’m supposed to be finishing a story but I can’t get this thought out of my head.
Why do some people choose to have drama in their lives?
I was like that too, when I was younger. But I grew up, and realized there is no point going into something you know would only bring grief, however which way you look at it.
So why can’t other people grow up and realize that too?
I have a good friend who’s just been able to get out of a destructive relationship. I fear she might be setting herself up for another round of heartache. It seems pointless to make her realize this fact—she claims they are just friends.
That’s what she said the first time. If you’re reading this, please know I’m worried about you.
Stuff I want in 2008
These are the stuff I want for 2008. Or for any year to be exact. Drool worthy items which I know deep inside, you guys want it as much as I do. I listed the prices so if ever you guys want to give me something. You can look through the list. And I’m not talking to you honey because you already gave me a Motorola razr2 V9 which should have also been in the list. Thank you for that honey!

# 93 HULIKAW! Take 4
UM, HI THERE! Taken in my Grade 6 graduation rites.
Yes, that was me. And to answer Paolo’s request, I did change my hairstyle. I was too advanced during that time. The Korean-cut hasn’t caught the fancy of my generation.
Only I did
Since we’re on the subject of graduation, here are some photos over the years…

ID pictures through the years…
More new old pictures to come
The year that was
Intermittent blogger that I am, I’ve managed to accumulate a bunch of would-be posts that never got written. So, I’ll just give a rundown of things that happened in the months leading to the end of 2007. And I’ll list them in reverse chronological order, because, well, I want to.
1. We spent New Year’s Eve watching the fireworks display in Makati. We ditched the party, though, because it was boring.
That’s the Manila Pen behind us
Pretty fireworks
2. Had New Year’s eve lunch with friends from work and merienda with college friends. Got to meet the Anna’s papi and Ton’s new S.O.
Estelle by the tree at the Captain’s Bar
Ton and Marge (K, L, M… hopefully not N?)
Crazy group photo at Cyma, Greenbelt 2
3. We finally had our long overdue honeymoon, not at Antulang as originally planned, but at Eskaya. This really deserves a separate entry altogether, but seeing as how sporadic my posts are, you might do better checking out the photos instead.
4. I got to hug THE Neil Gaiman! The hubby and I hied off to El Centro in Subic, with Abi, after snagging free tickets. We might just be the only bunch of crazies who went to Subic solely to see Gaiman. Most of the people we got to talk to at the venue were there because they were participants at the ad congress.
5. We now have, in our possession, our wedding album and gigantic framed portrait. They’re beeyutiful! It took so long to get the album, first because we couldn’t decide on the photos we wanted to include, then we had to choose a different album because Pilar dropped her previous supplier, and eventually we kind of lost track. We eventually got an automatic upgrade to a 10×10 Renaissance (from an 8×8 Kambara). The framed portrait is huge and sitting prettily in our closet. Heh.
We still don’t have our video though.
6. I know I posted a photo with Rada in October, but I haven’t posted this, taken during Tito Gerry’s 50th birthday bash at Sofitel.
So what’s in store for 2008? Hopefully, we’d be able to move into our own (rented) place by the end of this quarter. Maybe get our own car too, who knows? But more trips to the beach, definitely. In fact, we’re set to go to Boracay next month and, possibly, Batanes in March.
