A while back, Zane posted results of various Blogthings surveys. For lack of anything better to do, I answered everything as well, and guess what Zane said?

# 81 WHAT THE FUCK!!!?
I have tried to avoid posting political stuff in my space because they are not worth it. But I was compelled to write this and as a disclaimer, this post contains anger.

I could never understand this country and how we interpret its laws. And I am one of the many who opposed convicted Erap’s quick pardon for a crime that he would not even admit. Read the news below:
Arroyo grants pardon to Estrada
By Lira Dalangin-Fernandez
INQUIRER.net
Last updated 06:48pm (Mla time) 10/25/2007MANILA, Philippines — Convicted president Joseph Estrada is a free man.
President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo granted pardon to the 70-year-old deposed leader following a recommendation by the Department of Justice (DoJ), Press Secretary Ignacio Bunye said in a press conference on national television.
Interior and Local Government Secretary Ronaldo Puno has been instructed to deliver the order to Estrada at 9 a.m. Friday at his rest house in Tanay, Rizal, said Bunye, concurrent executive secretary.
The process of serving the pardon starts when the former president accepts it and would take about three hours to arrange, Bunye said.
As soon as Estrada accepts the pardon, the order would be transmitted by Puno to the Sandiganbayan and once the anti-graft court has formally noted the order of acceptance, it would be returned to Tanay after which Estrada would be released.
Reading from the order signed by the President, Bunye said the pardon was granted after Estrada publicly agreed not to pursue any other elective office. (bold letters mine)

What the hell is going on here?
The present government is doing just about anything AND everything for expediency and survival and this expediency has sacrificed our sense of justice, our now-wasted time in EDSA Dos, and those six years of going through the process.
And because of this I began to ask myself: Was it our fault that we didn’t care too much about the proceedings of Erap’s case? Was it our fault that we weren’t vigilant and strong enough to stay true to the things that we fought for? This “pardon” move is an ambitious one that ignores what is right and what is wrong.
While I am all for unity, this is definitely NOT the way to do it. Are we flawed enough to accept this concept of justice? Is the Filipino really this non-confrontational in serving justice that we would rather choose the easy but wrong path over something that may be hard but rewarding in the long run?
And we will most definitely get wrong results. In my random thoughts, would it be much better if we introduce ourselves to a REAL revolution– where REAL blood must be spilled to completely destroy a rotten system? Would it be much better if we went after Ferdinand and Imelda like sending assassins to Hawaii and do the deed for us? Would it be much better if the EDSA Dos crowd just stormed to Malacañang and accomplish the real meaning of revolution to Erap and his cohorts?
Changes haven’t been made much after the past two EDSA “revolutions”. We are proud that both were bloodless but it is also to our disadvantage that the enemies that we kicked out of the palace are still alive.
We didn’t show them our true anger. An anger that demands righteousness. An anger to effect real changes. An anger to execute, if needed, those who committed sins to the people (Man, I’m fuming communist here). We didn’t make an example out of the Marcoses and Erap as well.
It’s been always written and said that we have a lot of heart in going through this difficult life. Manny Pacquiao showed a lot of heart by taking on Mexican boxer Barrera. Fil-Am communities showed a lot of heart in desperately pleading their case to ABC executives. We have a lot of heart to do this and that.
While this may be one of our strengths as a people, it is also equally our weakness.
We do not have the heart to punish the guilty.
# 80 ENTIYANTED KINGDOM
Oh boy, it’s been 10 years since this was taken…
FROM TOP TO BOTTOM: Deno, Jops, Jerome, Me.
and going back to the same place would definitely be a treat. Mga brader, balik EK tayo.
It’s funny how things turned out for my HS buddies from Seton (Read: It’s SEEEE-TUHN. Also read the exciting billboard in front of the school: Go Seton..Go..). And we had our share of spats big and small but after all these years, we’ve always regarded each other as brothers. I give this long-delayed thanks to you guys. This blog is a tribute to you.
Deno is now married and has two beautiful kids. He still is this down-to-earth guy who has the same passion as I when it comes to comics and toys. He still draws and he comes up with one-liners that would make everybody laugh and sometimes, provoke a former classmate to bring a knife during our HS graduation practice. But one the best things that I admire about him, aside from being a great dad, was the way he stayed in touch during those years while I was away. We both changed but our friendship did not.
Jops was recently hitched last month and temporarily lives a life of a houseband which is just right. Women should work and the men should stay at home, play computer games, eat potato chips, watch TV, watch porn, and do the same thing everyday. Hehehe
Anyhoo, I would have to say that Josepe’s the vital cog of our HS barkada which would remain nameless in this entry to avoid any embarrassment (the name lang). He’s the strongest in the group and has no shame in playing Aegis in his car. I would never forget his childlike/ childish acts and also the generosity that he and his family has shared with me and the group (Jops, remember our summer outings? The ones where your parents would foot most of the bill and also feed us with THE spaghetti? Remember the times where I would go to your house and do a project or surf porn or try learning Magik and also sleepover?). You are truly a great friend even with your outspoken, and fearless Kabitenyo swagger
1997 was one of the most crucial years of my life and it was good that I began college with Jerome. Pre, I know that we haven’t spoken for a long time but I’m hoping in all sincere mumbo jumbo to make you drink alcohol with us again. Peace be with you.
Writing this makes me think of one thing:
Sayang at di kami nakapunta nung Sabado.

Winning when it matters. The DLSU Green Archers captured its “official” fifth UAAP Title under the auspices of Coach Franz Pumaren. I got to hand it to him for trusting and believing in his players. There were a lot of times that I’ve doubted his rotation but from the interviews, he kept on saying that he knows his team and has tremendous confidence in them. Thanks, Coach Franz for making us believers.
At the onset, I have said that this year’s team is far different and maybe the weakest of the batches that we had but fortunately, we made it this far and won the championship. Thank you, Lord!
This game is what DLSU Basketball is all about. We were aggressive in all fronts. Rico Maierhoffer was there to get those crucial rebounds. JV Casio unleashed those back-breaking treys. Cholo Villanueva, the team’s 4th Quarter Man, was fearless in taking it straight to the hoop. Bader Malabes has become more reliable on both ends of the court. Our defense worked and we guarded UE’s main stars well. The unexpected game heroics of players like Kish Co and OJ Cua were the icing.
BUT WHAT I REALLY CAN’T GET OVER WAS JV CASIO’S BIG HEAVE OF A THREE ON THE TOP OF THE KEY AS THE SHOT CLOCK EXPIRED. Who would have thought that that would go in? UE was beginning to stage its rally but Casio’s trey was just in time. Just like his name
hehe.
Anyhoo, this season has been one of the most memorable ones for me and today, I tried going to Araneta Coliseum and watching it live but there were no more tickets available (say what? I heard that the DLSU-ADMU Game 5 had 23,000 paying patrons!?). Today, game attendance was at 18,067. Ang labo.
But I’m just happy that my brothers in St. La Salle, Mon and E-jay, were there to create deafening noise inside Oyster Boy which by the way, serves excellent Ilonggo Seafood Rice
Going back to this victory blog, the Pumaren brothers did an excellent job in making this an exciting series. My hats off to you Coach Dindo Pumaren for steering UE to 14-0 but your Kuya Franz has taken you to school. I know that you will learn from this and turn UE into a championship squad kasi Lasalista ka
As texted by E-jay’s boss who’s from UE, this win is more convincing than Pacquiao’s (Mabuhay ka, Manny! I have greater respect for you for staying focused and showing Barrera how Future Hall of Famers should act).
The odds were against DLSU this season having paid our dues last year and coming into this season with a team that lacked a King Archer like Cortez or a Ritualo but we kept the faith.
Players come and go but Coach Franz Pumaren’s mastery of college basketball has shown DLSU a greater future in the shades of green and white.
Thank you, Coach Franz. Thank you, Green Archers.
and thank you, NU
